The Titans suffered the greatest loss in Franchise History Versus the Jaguars!!!

The Tennessee Titans suffered a 20-13 defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17, as Brian Callahan’s squad didn’t do enough and fell to 3-13 on the year. Though a 13th loss is usually a demoralizing thing, Tennessee losing to Jacksonville is the best loss in franchise history, and here’s why.

With the Titans loss to Jags and the New York Giants win over the Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee how holds the No.2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The New England Patriots own the No.1 overall pick after their loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday in Week 17.

Winning Sunday’s contest versus the Jaguars would’ve been disastrous for the future of the Titans. Tennessee would’ve dropped a few spots down in the draft order and cost themselves flexibility in the offseason.

Drafting a quarterback would be the popular move for the Titans. Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward are the two best signal callers in the draft. But the franchise could also look to trade back with a quarterback needy team and get a massive trade package. Lastly, Tennessee could opt to just select the best player available. Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter is my No.1 player in the draft, but we have no idea what the Titans draft board will look like in April.

In conclusion, the Titans loss to the Jaguars in Week 17 is the GREATEST LOSS IN FRANCHISE HISTORY. Combined with the Colts loss to the Giants, Tennessee now sits at Pick 2 and have a golden opportunity to change the course of the franchise. If they want to draft a quarterback, DO IT. If they want to trade back with a team and get a loaded trade package, DO IT. If they want to take the best player available, DO IT. Overall, the Titans are in a much better position because they lost to Jacksonville on Sunday.
